How the Championships work
A national framework for amateur inter-club padel. Players compete on behalf of their club, from club qualifiers all the way to the National Finals.
Three stages
1
Club Qualifiers, February to March 2027
Each club runs its own qualifier on its own booking system. The winners and runners-up in each category become the club’s two pairs.
2
Regional Eliminators, April to May 2027
Pairs play in the North or South region, nearest their club: a group stage of one-set matches against pairs from other clubs, then a knockout stage.
3
National Finals, June 2027
The best pairs from each region compete for the national titles.
The key rules
A team is one pair.
Each club enters exactly two pairs in each category it enters, or none.
Each player represents one club only. The Mixed Cup can be played alongside a Men’s or Women’s competition for the same club. The Mixed Cup is open to mixed pairs of every standard.
Six competitions: Men’s Cup, Shield and Plate; Women’s Cup and Shield; and the Mixed Cup. The Cup is for higher-standard players and the Shield is for developing players. In the Men’s category, the Plate is for entry-level players. The Mixed Cup is open to mixed pairs of every standard.
What it costs clubs
£125 per qualifying pair for the Regional Eliminators, and £125 again for each pair that reaches the National Finals. Clubs set and keep their own qualifier entry fees.
